[ ...when did you fall asleep?
you don’t really remember. well, there are a lot of things you may not remember. names, lives, loved ones— but that’s par for the course here, isn’t it? even if some of you may not know that yet.
regardless, the bright light shining directly into your face means that you’re awake now. though... despite being bright enough to be midday, the stars gleam in the sky, and it’s a full moon that shines down to light the forest around you and reflect brilliantly off of the surface of the nearby river. it’s more than a little surreal…and what's this town that you've found yourself in...?
some of you have been here a while and know exactly what’s going on. some of you only have no idea where you are, and only know you have fuzzy memories of being recently dragged from the river before presumably passing out. new or old, however, you all wake to find yourself clutching a piece of paper in your hand. ]

I've been wondering! What do you think happens to the memories you lose? Something takes them but it's not the arbiters. I checked! Even when that perverted arbiter took them as payment, it didn't keep them, right?
