WHAT: SIN AND JUDGEMENT GAME. Here's how it's going to go down:
  • The teams are gathered into separate rooms.
  • Each round, two people will be chosen for judgement. The individuals chosen are taken out of their team rooms and put in a separate location where no one can see them or tell their identities -- with the obvious exception that a team will be able to see that one of their own members has disappeared suddenly, etc.
  • Each team will be provided with two "sins" committed by the chosen pair and asked to choose which to punish and which to spare. Note that they will only be able to see the sins in question, not who committed these sins.
  • Once the votes are in, the two chosen will become visible to everyone, as will the votes of each team. The one chosen for punishment will have some kind of horrifying torture inflicted upon them right the fuck in front of everyone.
  • For scoring purposes, each vote to punish will give a point to the team of the guilty individual. Teams with the most points lose.
Concerning the "sins" in question, simply put, these are going to be "the worst thing(s) your character has ever done." You provide me with the worst thing your character has ever done in your sign-up form. This can be a single incident, a general repeated crime (if your character has killed a lot of people, for instance) or even a brief list of crimes ("murder, torture, terrorism, arson, kidnapping"), although let's try not to make it too long. Note that this does not have to be something your character remembers, and it can be something they've done here in the forest if that really fits.

As for the standard of what counts as a sin: absolutely anything for which a character might conceivably be blamed. It doesn't have to be fair. If someone might blame a character for existing, you can list "existing" as a sin. Keep in mind that how you phrase your character's sin will make them more or less likely to be voted down for punishment. If you really want to get maimed, try to make it sound as bad as possible. If not, you're free to downplay it.

WHEN: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday if we need to, but more likely Sunday will be reserved mostly for fallout. The exact times will be determined on Wednesday based on responses here. You do not have to participate for all the days. You can pick and choose whichever days you want as long as you're willing to sit down and pound out some RP for at least one day's worth of play. Each day will probably go for 3-4 hours, maybe 1/2 hour or 45 minutes per round -- again, depending on how many sign-ups we get. I'm going to try to have different times represented since we all work different shifts, so probably at least one game early in the afternoon, maybe one later at night. The more specific you are about times the better I can sort everything out.

If you're really limited for time, you can sign up to have your character up for judgement without participating at all in the voting process. Honestly, all you'll have to do as a judged character is hang out for a bit with the other character (you'll both get to sit in a room with booze and wait for one of you to be horrifically tortured, it's gonna be a lot of fun for the whole family) and either get brutalized or witness someone else getting brutalized up close while you are spared.

Also: yes, your character can continue to play/judge after they've been fucked up. You know, if they're still physically capable of it.

HOW: This game has sign-ups! Fill out the following form and submit it in a comment below as soon as possible. If for whatever reason you need to sign up on the day of that will probably be fine, but if you love me please try hard to sign up as early as possible so I can get shit set up.

Character + Team:
Time Availability/Preferred Day(s): Which days you're available and what time of day you'll be available on each day.
Role(s): Do you just want to be judged, do you just want to vote, or do you want to do both? If you want to do both, do you have a particular day you'd prefer to be judged on?
Sin: The worst thing your character has ever done. See above for details on how this works. Try not to make it too specific.
Torture Preferences: If you are being judged, what kind of horrific medieval body torture do you personally find most adorable? And are there any subjects I should specifically avoid?
